Every moment of Fy seems to change and swirl and subtly peek out and poke its way through the walls of fuzz and hiss. This is an apt follow-up to this year's Angel Activate (Beer on the Rug), which found Angel 1 producing a continuous and engrossing set of diverse songs that managed to intertwine, pace and compilent each other at every turn. There is a conscious effort in every moment of these recordings to progress and alter elements and sounds without stepping on toes or letting the listener get too far away from the music itself. Fy has a similar seamlessness and deliberate pacing, though these are a decidedly more reserved and beneath-the-blanket collection of songs. There are subtle peaks and valleys, as moments of pulsing kick drums give way to goosebumpy synthscapes and meditative drones. Fy creates a warbling world of beautiful melodies that were meant for cassette and meant to be Lillerne #61. Edition of 50 home-dubbed Chrome/Type II cassettes with full color, double-sided artwork.
